Startup Island is a personal and professional development accelerator connecting entrepreneurial-minded students and young professionals.
In March 2017, I led a workshop on freelance entrepreneurship & creative thinking during their Costa Rica spring break trip. I set up an activity where 18 students used creative thinking to come up with six startup ideas to address the issues of water scarcity, animal cruelty, mental stability, self-awareness, women empowerment and the refugee crisis.
I also coached students in starting their own ventures including Brittney, a daytime economics student at Northeastern and nighttime painter. The following July, I launched a gallery show which enabled her to exhibit her work for the first time.
